The Real Portfolio

A Catalog Shows You Shapes. A Portfolio Shows You What’s Possible.

Eleven projects, eleven lots, eleven sets of conditions — every one of these was engineered for the specific yard it sits in, not pulled from a five-shape catalog and dropped in with a forklift.

01 — Duluth, GA

The Duluth Backyard That Became a Resort

A full backyard transformation in Duluth that started as an underused lot and ended as the clear center of the property. We rebuilt the grade, installed a custom gunite pool with integrated spillover spa, and wrapped the whole project in travertine decking and structured landscape — turning a yard people walked past into a yard nobody leaves.

The drone footage shows what the aerial photos don’t: how the pool, decking, lawn, and back of the home read as a single composition rather than four separate projects bolted together.

02 — Johns Creek, GA

Johns Creek Hardscape Built Around How They Actually Use the Space

A hardscape-forward project in Johns Creek — no pool, but the same design discipline. Paver patio, retaining walls, fire feature, and structured planting beds all integrated on a grade that was fighting us the entire time. The finished project reads level and intentional, which is the hardest thing to pull off on a sloped Metro Atlanta lot.

We built the wall system with reinforced block and drainage aggregate, set the patio on a compacted base with polymeric joint sand, and wrapped the whole thing in a landscape plan that grows into its final form over two seasons.

03 — Alpharetta, GA

Alpharetta — Where the Patio Became the Center of the Home

An Alpharetta build that proves a backyard can be the social anchor of a house without a pool anchoring it. Paver patio, covered outdoor living space with a custom fireplace, dedicated outdoor kitchen area, and a secondary paver area with a fire pit and water feature — all set into a landscape plan that ties the home and yard into one composition.

The fireplace is the keystone. We built it from block and clad it in stone veneer, ran the flue properly, and set the covered roof structure to match the home’s existing eaves so the addition reads as if it was always there.

04 — Canton, GA

A Custom Gunite Pool in Canton — From Sloped Lot to Centerpiece

A Canton pool build on a lot that wasn’t going to give us a free pass on anything. The grade fell sharply off the back of the home, and the design response was a raised bond beam on the back side of the pool with cut stone coping and structured retention — so the finished pool sits level with the upper deck instead of fighting the hill.

Classic geometric shape, clean waterline tile, Pebble Tec finish, and a deck layout that extends the usable outdoor footprint without crowding the pool. The drone pass shows exactly how the raised edge turns a challenging grade into a design feature.

05 — Cumming, GA

Cumming — The Full Outdoor Living Overhaul

The biggest project in the portfolio. A complete outdoor-living transformation in Cumming: custom gunite pool, integrated spa, full hardscape deck and pathway system, retention walls, LED lighting, and a re-engineered landscape plan covering the entire rear yard. Sixteen photos and a drone pass barely fit it in.

The coordination is what makes a project this scale actually work — pool, deck, walls, lighting, and planting all have to hit their marks in the right sequence or the project stalls. We ran it as a single contract with one schedule and one crew managing phase transitions, which is the only way a build this wide-ranging stays on time.

06 — Stone Mountain, GA

Stone Mountain Family Pool, Built Without Cutting Corners

A family pool in Stone Mountain — the exact kind of project that gets butchered by volume builders chasing the cheapest bid. We built this one the way we build everything: hand-tied rebar cage, single continuous gunite pour, proper bonding, oversized plumbing, and a variable-speed pump as standard — not as an upgrade line-item.

The finished pool is the one the family asked for: generous deep end, dedicated shallow area, clean tile line, and a deck layout that leaves room for the kids’ games and the parents’ seating without fighting each other.

07 — Decatur, GA · Commercial

A Commercial-Grade Pool for a Decatur Apartment Community

A commercial pool build for the Connect Decatur apartment complex — engineered and permitted to commercial spec, not residential. That means higher-capacity filtration, ADA-compliant access, commercial-grade deck drainage, safety compliance, and a bather load calculated for a community of hundreds rather than a family of four.

Commercial pools fail fast if the specs are wrong on day one — too small a pump, undersized main drain, insufficient perimeter drainage. We sized every component against the expected bather load and the Georgia DPH code, built the deck to meet slip-resistance and slope requirements, and delivered a pool the community can actually use for a decade.

08 — Buford, GA

Buford — The Pool That’s Two Different Experiences, Day and Night

A Buford custom pool where the lighting design does half the work. At noon it’s a clean, modern pool with crisp coping and a paver patio wrapped in structured landscape. After sunset, the color-change LED main lights, perimeter hardscape lighting, and accent path lights turn the entire backyard into something genuinely cinematic.

We shot two drone passes — one in daylight, one after dark — because describing this build without showing both is describing half the project. The lighting is Pentair IntelliBrite on the pool, supplemented with low-voltage landscape lighting run through dedicated transformers and set on zones from the same automation controller as the pool.

09 — Norcross, GA

Norcross — Pool, Hardscape, and Lighting Integrated as One Project

A Norcross build where the pool, hardscape, and LED lighting were designed as a single system rather than three phases stitched together. That’s the difference between a pool that looks dropped in and a pool that looks inevitable. Everything from deck elevations to fixture placement was set on one plan before we broke ground.

LED lighting runs through the pool body, the perimeter coping edge, and the surrounding patio — all on zoned automation. The hardscape ties the pool back to the home on both sides with continuous decking and a wrap-around walkway that keeps bare feet out of planting beds.

10 — Dunwoody, GA

Dunwoody — Integrating a Custom Pool Into an Established Yard

A mature Dunwoody lot with established landscape and a set architectural vocabulary — the pool had to arrive without feeling like an intrusion. We matched coping and decking to materials already present on the home, threaded the access route so the existing mature plantings survived, and set the pool footprint against the house in a way that honored the original yard geometry rather than rewriting it.

Hardscape and landscape were updated as needed to tie into the new pool, but the guiding principle was restraint. A pool in an established yard is a surgical insert — not a renovation gut job.

11 — Loganville, GA

Loganville — A Resort-Style Build From the Ground Up

A resort-style build in Loganville — integrated spillover spa, tanning ledge with bubbler fountain, raised water feature, and wide travertine decking set on a generous rear yard. The scope and the lot both matched the ambition, and the drone pass makes the point: this is the kind of build that rewards the extra space.

The spa raises 18 inches above the pool deck with a cut-stone facing and a continuous spillover into the main pool — a real spa with real heat, not a decorative feature. The tanning ledge runs the full length of the shallow end with a center bubbler and LED lighting underneath.
